Booking Through Thursday...Libraries

How often do you visit a library? Do you go to borrow books? Do research? Check out the multi-media center? Hang out with the friendly and knowledgeable staff? Are you there out of love or out of need?

I love my library.  Even though I have a toppling TBR stack at home, I still reserve books from my library.  I know many of the staff, but I don't hang out or spend lots of time there.  I love that I can reserve books online and walk in and pick them up.

What about you?

  2. It's nice to be able to reserve books online and then drop in to grab them.
    Thanks for stopping by!

  3. I use mine to request books online and stop by to pick them up...and sometimes walk out with extras.

I like that I can read some books without having to buy them...my shelves are already overloaded.

    Thanks for visiting my blog.

  5. I love our library's reserve system. The only time it's a problem is when I have a bunch of holds and they all come in at once. Then I don't know what to read first. ;)

  6. I don't use the library as much as I used to, especially since I lost my ability to drive. When someone does take me, I usually am just picking up a requested book. Most of my 'peeps' are non-readers and they don't enjoy going to the library and I don't like to take up alot of their time, so I just pick up and go.

  7. I LOVE our library! I've been going to the same one since I was in elementary school so it's a very familiar place.

  10. I reserve books online and borrow e-books. I think I might go to the library on Saturday. I miss it. :)

  11. My former library kind of sucked but guess what? The new library isn't much better. However, we're close to a big city and I need to see if I can get a card for the county library system. There should be several libraries to choose from and hopefully, that will help!
