Mailbox Monday 8/11

It's time for another Mailbox Monday which was created by Marcia at To Be Continued.

Mailbox Monday is the gathering place for readers to share the books that came into their house last week... Warning: Mailbox Monday can lead to envy, toppling TBR piles and humongous wish list

I had let my library card expire and I went to reserve a book online it wouldn't let me.  How did that happen? I don't know why I'm so drawn to the library when my TBR stack is toppling, but I reserved several books this week.  Sigh... A few arrived via Netgalley as well. I think I need an intervention...

The Garden Plot by Marty Wingate via Netgalley (for review, TLC Book Tours)
The Red Book of Primrose House by Marty Wingate via Netgalley (for review, TLC Book Tours)

Amelia  by Bernadette Marie via Netgalley
The Imaginary Life by Mara Torres via Netgalley (for review, TLC Book Tours)

What new books did you receive?  Check out more Mailbox Monday posts here.

  2. I checked out Marty Wingate online because she is a new to me author, and those books sound like fun! I love to discover new authors, so thanks and enjoy your week. I too still persist on taking out library books when I am overwhelmed with books to review and my own large tbr list on my kindle.

  3. I hope you got your library card sorted out! I'm the same way and still check out books even though I have plenty to read already.
    The Imaginary Life looks intriguing!

  9. I think most book bloggers are a book away from needing an intervention, LOL. Enjoy your reading!

  10. Hi Holly,

I needed intervention a long time ago, before the number of books around the place reached four figures, excluding all the downloads!

The one thing I daren't do is visit the library. In fact my library cards expired years ago and I have never bothered renewing them, so that I can't be tempted into borrowing books that I can never hope to read!

Although I think that the Marty Wingate books might be a tad too 'cutsie' for my taste, the covers are pretty georgous, aren't they?

Enjoy all of your new acquisitions and have a good week.

  13. I try to stay out of the library because all the books are calling to me and I can't possibly read them all. But then I stop in to pick up a movie I reserved, and next thing I know, I'm checking out a stack of books!
