Booking Through Thursday...Present Tense

Any books you’re particularly hoping to be gifted this year? Any that you’re giving as presents this holiday season?

It's actually a lean book year when it comes to Christmas presents. I have one specific book on my list.  Banana Split by Josi Kilpack.  It's part of her culinary mystery series and I received the one after it for my birthday.  My son has been wanting two books on reading facial expressions (think Lie to Me) and he will find those under our Christmas tree.  Other than that, books are the one thing we tend to get and give year round.

What about you?

  1. Any opportunity when I don't have to pay for books myself I'll ask for them. I have such ridiculously long wishlists that I'd go broke trying to buy them all. I guess I'm lucky that books seem to be the easiest gift to be given. It's always things other than books that I'm surprised to receive cause I know the person really paid attention to things I discussed wanting to own then.

  3. It's too hard for anyone to give me books, so I don't ask for them. My son had several on his wish list but my sister bought them before I could.

  5. I tend to give books as often as I can, and the only people who don't get books are the non-readers. I would love to get books for the holidays, but I have so many, nobody knows what to buy me!!

  7. I love getting books, it's just rare that it happens. I don't know many people that are big into reading, so books aren't often a gift for me to give or receive. Oh well. Thanks for stopping by!

  8. That's cool how you give and get books year round and they aren't reserved just for Christmas. Books make great gifts for any occasion, don't they? :)

  9. I agree completely, books are for getting and giving year round :) I love to give someone a book just for the fun of it, not just at holidays and birthdays.
